Description
This course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to write effective technical documents in the STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) fields. Students will learn how to communicate complex technical information
to a variety of audiences, including scientific reports, research papers, proposals, and online content.
The course will cover a range of topics, including ethical and professional considerations, grammar and style, and the use of visual aids and presentations. Students will also learn how to use appropriate formatting and language to effectively convey
technical information. Additionally, the course will provide students with opportunities to practice writing technical documents for various contexts, including scientific reports, research papers, proposals, and online content.
Throughout the course, students will be expected to engage in critical thinking and problem-solving, as well as collaborate effectively with their peers to produce high-quality technical documents. They will also receive feedback on their writing and
have opportunities to revise and improve their work.
By the end of the course, students will have developed the skills necessary to write technical documents that are clear, concise, and appropriate for their intended audience. They will also have a foundation in the ethical and professional considerations
of technical writing and the use of visual aids and presentations to enhance the effectiveness of technical documents.
