An important
dimension of this goal is to increase the participation Secondary School
students in STEM, English language and national examination preparation. Through
this course, we are seeking to build Secondary School students' skills, content
knowledge, and literacy in STEM subjects such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics and
Maths in addition to the English language and national exams preparation, so
that they become future leaders, neighbours, and workers who can understand and
solve some of the complex challenges of today and tomorrow, and meet the
demands of the dynamic and evolving workforce. We also make sure that no matter
where students live, they have access to a quality learning environment through
our eLearning X platform. The main focus of this course is on hands-on learning
with real-world applications, which helps develop various skill sets, including
creativity and 21st-century skills. 21st-century skills include media and
technology literacy, productivity, social skills, communication, flexibility
and initiative. Other skills attained through this course include
problem-solving, critical thinking, creativity, curiosity, decision-making,
leadership and more. This course will actively promote and develops learners’
creative and critical thinking skills, skills that are essential for the next
generation.
Course Description-
In
an ever-changing, increasingly complex world, it's more important than ever
that our youths and students are prepared to bring knowledge and skills to
solve problems, make sense of information, and know how to gather and evaluate
evidence to make decisions. These are the kinds of skills that students develop
in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), including Biology, Chemistry,
Physics and Math disciplines and the English Language. This course, in addition to national exam
preparation, will enable you to explore
your future with interactive simulations based on exciting real-life career
scenarios, develop the knowledge, confidence, and skills required to achieve
your goals, and prepare you for college as you gain valuable knowledge on how
to succeed from professionals/ experts within your field of interest. Through
this course, we seek interventions to significantly improve STEM and English
language outcomes for secondary school students with low performance in
the offered subjects. This program will spark your curiosity and drive active
engagement in STEM subjects and the English language, with exclusive phenomena
and interactive, high-quality content. Our education resource blends dynamic
digital content with ready-to-use lessons and embedded teacher support to
enhance and cultivate valuable skills that prepare students for the future.
We will explore a range of interesting topics
throughout the course. In addition to assigned readings, videos, and PowerPoint
slideshows, each module will include course work, including discussion board
assignments, questions and answers sessions, etcetera
