Course
Description
The
B1 level course aims to mould the students into effective communicators of
Turkish. Their development is provided from the extensive listening and reading
allowing them to gain a comprehensive understanding of the Turkish language
from authentic and meaningful contexts which are integrated into the lessons.
The course furthermore aims to create a learner-centred environment where the
students’ needs, abilities and interests in Turkish are strengthened for their
language development.
Purpose

As a progression
from the previous level, the B1 level course focuses on building and enhancing
existing knowledge in Turkish. It aims at creating students who are able to not
only communicate their thoughts but also give reasons and explanations for
their opinions. Through continued teacher scaffolding and guidance, the student
learning outcomes of academic skills, functional language, pronunciation and
writing are reinforced and strengthened in order to increase the level of
difficulty for a progression from the foundation level to higher levels of
language use.
