Overview
Problem solving is a strategy that forms
the baseline to reaching amicable solutions whenever a conflict arises or a
difference emerges in an institution or among individuals. It is with this
argument that different problems might arise and therefore the best strategies
should be devised to end any emergence of the same problem. The course is
designed to offer core skills to help the concerned individuals amid the rise
of problems. The
details of the course are in line with the problems that happen both at the
societal and institutional level, acting as a prior preparation for mitigation
measures.
Course Description
The course provides basics concerning
causes of problems and strategies of dealing with problems. The problems that
affect students can only be solved if the best strategies are utilised and this
course provides learners with skills to handle personal and group problems
hence making them fit in the society. The course handles basic issues that
concern emerging problems, strategies to dealing with problems, the types of
problems evident in the society. Therefore, the aim here is to explain how the
problems are analysed and solved with a focus to the benefits of problem
solving. The institutional problems can be solved amicably through a well laid
down process that does not create further conflicts or disharmony among the
work mates and this is another basic concern of the course.
